★★★★★
We had a musty smell in our West Plano house for almost a year. Turned out to be a slab leak under the hallway wall. They found it with the thermal camera in twenty minutes, and the clearance test after remediation came back clean. The written report made the insurance claim painless.

★★★★★
Used them for a pre-purchase inspection on a 1992 house near Park Forest. Inspector flagged elevated moisture at the slab edge and explained exactly what it meant for a Plano home. We negotiated $6k off. Worth every penny of the $249.
Derek S. · Plano
★★★★★
Our 1962 house near downtown Garland smelled musty every single summer. They treated the joists and encapsulated the crawl space, and this is the first July the house has smelled normal. The humidity readout says 52% down there. Used to be a swamp.
Robert T. · Garland
★★★★★
Water heater failed in our South Garland rental and the tenants did not notice for two days. Crew was there within the hour, dried it out, and the testing confirmed no mold took hold. They sent daily moisture readings, which my insurance adjuster actually complimented.
Linda P. · Garland
★★★★★
Condo in Las Colinas, mold coming through the wall we share with the neighbor. They documented the source as the neighbor's AC condensate line, which gave our HOA what it needed to make the right party pay. Remediation passed clearance the first time.
Priya N. · Irving
★★★★★
Ceiling stains kept coming back in our South Irving house. Two handymen painted over it twice. These guys went into the attic, found the duct sweating onto the drywall, fixed the insulation issue, and replaced the contaminated section. Stain has not returned in eight months.
Manuel G. · Irving

05 / STRAIGHT ANSWERS

The five questions Dallas homeowners ask before they sign anything

How do I know if the musty smell in my Dallas home is actually mold?

You usually cannot tell by smell alone. We run a moisture meter survey and pull air samples, then a third-party lab counts the spores. If the indoor count is meaningfully higher than the outdoor baseline, you have an active source. The whole inspection takes about 90 minutes.

Is mold remediation covered by homeowners insurance in Texas?

Sometimes. If the mold came from a sudden covered event like a burst pipe, most Texas policies pay for remediation up to a cap, often $5,000 to $10,000. Slow leaks and humidity problems are usually excluded. We document everything so your adjuster has what they need either way.

Do we have to move out during remediation?

Usually not. We build sealed containment with negative air pressure around the work area, so the rest of the house stays usable. Whole-home jobs or HVAC contamination are the exception, and we will tell you up front if yours is one.

Why does Dallas have so many mold problems if the climate is dry half the year?

Two reasons. Summer humidity meets over-cooled air conditioning, which causes condensation inside walls and ductwork. And the clay soil under most of Dallas shifts constantly, cracking slabs and supply lines. A slow slab leak can feed mold for months before anyone smells it.

What does the 72-hour clearance actually mean?

For a typical single-area remediation, we contain and remove on day one, run air scrubbers and dry the cavity on day two, and pull clearance samples on day three. The lab returns results within 48 hours of sampling. Larger jobs take longer, and we tell you the real timeline in the written scope.
